In 2001 for the first time a press conference was held by the Disclosure Project, with the help of the National Press Club. The Disclosure Project is a large group of approximately 400 whistleblowers who have had high ranking positions in the military, the intelligence services or the government. The group consists of generals, colonels, sergeants, lieutenants, commanders, fighter pilots, commercial airline pilots, radar operators, FAA officials, former ministers, ex-CIA, etc.

Their positions and years of experience in areas where you would expect them to be the first to know about alien visitors, if we would actually be visited, make them credible witnesses in my eyes. Also the way in which many of them tell their stories, really made me think. Their seriousness can be felt and with some of them their fear. If it appears that these people are liars, then they are very good actors. But of course we need to ask in what way they would benefit if they are actually lying. By telling their stories in front of the world, they put themselves in a vulnerable position. Their social lives might be affected and also that of their family, by the automatic ridicule that comes with the UFO subject. Are these people just dumb and/or misled attention seekers or do they know more than us and are they brave to tell their stories in front of the eyes of the world?

This is the 2 hour long broadcast of the 2001 Disclosure Project press conference:

In 2010 another press conference was held:

Next to these press conferences, there is also the 4 hour long witness testimony DVD, which is even more interesting since the whistleblowers can tell their stories in a lot more detail. These longer testimonies also give you a better feeling for the person and their claimed experience. Especially when hearing them talk about how the black budget world operates, you get the sense that these people really know what they're talking about.

This is what respected scientist Michio Kaku says about the testimonies of these witnesses:

"This is as close to the smoking gun that you are going to get."

To make it clear that Michio Kaku is not just some fool, here is some information about him from wikipedia:

Michio Kaku is an American theoretical physicist, the Henry Semat Professor of Theoretical Physics in the City College of New York of City University of New York, a co-founder of string field theory, a futurist, and a "communicator" and "popularizer" of science. He has written several books about physics and related topics; he has made frequent appearances on radio, television, and film; and he writes extensive online blogs and articles. He has written two New York Times best sellers, Physics of the Impossible (2008) and Physics of the Future(2011). He has hosted several TV specials for BBC-TV, the Discovery Channel, and the Science Channel.

Kaku became a visiting professor at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, and New York University. He currently holds the Henry Semat Chair and Professorship in theoretical physics at the City College of New York. Kaku has had over 70 articles published in physics journals such as Physical Review, covering topics such as superstring theory, supergravity, supersymmetry, and hadronic physics. In 1974, along with Prof. Keiji Kikkawa of Osaka University, he authored the first papers describing string theory in a field form. Kaku is the author of several textbooks on string theory and quantum field theory.

And last but not least, below there is a radio interview by Michio Kaku with the writer of a well-known book about UFOs in which high-ranking military officials have shared their UFO related stories. The book can be found under the header "Books" in the menu on the left. What I like about this interview below is that Michio Kaku is very clear about the 5% of UFO sightings that are not explainable in any ordinary way. Kaku also clearly shows that he's unhappy with the attitude of many debunkers. Take Neil Degrasse Tyson for instance, a well known scientist, who pretends as if the UFO-phenomenon is nothing more than "lights in the sky".

Kaku makes it very clear that in the 5% category of unexplainable UFO sightings, we are dealing with "lights" that show extraordinary flight characteristics like accelarating to incredible speeds from standstill, that zig-zag at incredible speeds through the sky and make straight corners in the sky at high speeds. Things that are impossible according to the known laws of physics.
